Unless otherwise noted, instruction is for six 2 hour class sessions. Dates and times depend on arrangements made with individual instructors. Instructors will provide a materials list.

Drawing from Life    001

Victoria Morales, Art Instructor

Using pencils and  charcoal, students will be lead through a series of exercises to capture the subtle nuances of forms, shapes, shadowing, dimensions, space, perception and expression of everyday items.

Learn to weld in a comfortable environment where students can familiarize themselves with electric arc welding as a tangible medium to sculpt.

Hand Building/Sculpture   012

You will learn techinques in sculpting and hand building to enable you to create your own original piece. Engobes, oxides and glazes will add the finishing touch. Beginners to advanced are welcome.

Oil Painting    003

Studio or plein air location painting will be explored, single or all day workshops available this summer. Students will have the opportunity to paint at ArtSouth and varios locations in South Dade available to Plein Air painters.

$40 per hour

Students will select simple forms, shapes and symbols to create well designed compositions using pencils, pastels and acrylics or mixed media. Final project will be a framed art piece ready to be exhibited.

Fashion Design/Clothing Construction   004

Learn how to create beautiful patterns from scratch and how to elegantly  sew it to a finished product by an experienced Fashion Designer.

Clay for the Intermediate and Advanced    009

Come play with Clay for intermediate or advanced ceramic students.  Learn techniques for wheel throwing, carving, surface treatments, joined pieces, lidded forms, glazing etc.

25 lbs of clay, use of studio tools and firing of works will be included in the cost of tuition.
